A complete revamp for the annual Classic Tetris World Championship, paying homage to the retro, funky visuals from its origin generation of the 80s. Now with a fresh, modern flair to bring in competitors from younger audiences.

TYPOGRAPHY EXPLORATION
While referencing many classic video game type, NASCAR and other competitons were also taken into consideration as points of inspiration for the type. Keeping an image that was timeless, but very akin to the genre.
Style Frames
Completely executed in After Effects, heavy emphasis of the 3D Camera were utilized to get that sense of parralax and depth. I also took on the challenge to evoke the vibe of Tetris without relying on any preconceived symbols, such as the classic Tetris pieces. That resulted in an array of stylized geometric assets that gave off the same feeling as the gameplay.
